The Free breakfast wasn't particularly great - needed to re-heat barely warm tater tots and sausages in the microwave and the waffles weren't fresh but rather thawed and needing toasting. Room was nice size but could have used a bit more of a deep clean. Parking stalls were minimum width (maybe) so seemed small.
I can confidently say that the Days Inn Vernon was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. My partner and I arrived very late at night and immediately went to sleep, in the morning we were disgusted to wake up to a used condom beside the bed! When we brought this to the attention of the front desk agent she was unapologetic and told us we should have mentioned this immediately after checking in. We were told the the general manager Peter Lim would be in touch with us after we left him a not but he has yet to reply. In fact Peter has been dodging my phone calls since our stay. Disgusting hotel and pitiful customer service, I expect better from Wyndham properties!
The staff at the Days Inn were very friendly and helpful. They made the stay very pleasant. The room was very nice! The pillows were not too soft, and the bedding was very clean. Everything about the hotel was great! The breakfast was amazing, it wasn't one of those "breakfast pastries" types of things, but a full on breakfast with sausages, tater tots, and waffles (well those were the hit with my kids). The only downside was the bathroom. It was small, just a toilet and tub, with the vanity area outside of the door. Mind you that was far from a deal breaker and will not lower my score for the hotel. Thank you for the wonderful facilities for us to stay at!
Good value for the price point. Clean rooms with white duvets (no mystery stain comforters), imitation hardwood (no carpet), decent free breakfast (sausages, eggs, cereal, toast, waffles). Air conditioner is louder, but worked as a white noise machine for our family as it is a constant hum. The motel is older, but has been upgraded nicely. Only complaint is the bathroom is very small, but that is just the old layout. Customer service is awesome and the staff is very friendly!
Very nice staff, clean and inviting rooms. Sheets are soft and the beds are comfortable. Complimentary breakfast is great. There are a variety of things to choose from for breakfast and the coffee is up to par. Close enough to a few fast food chains as well as walking distance to multiple sit down restaurants. I would recommend a stay here if you're are looking for a good reasonably priced place to stay in Vernon.
