Love the Towne Cinema! Great old theatre, lots of neat memoribillia, friendly staff and good prices.
Love it. Although the girl at the counter confused us on the combos. Then when I asked if we got refills she said only in Combos....even though I asked her to make our pop, popcorn and chocolate bar into the combo (#1). She smiled and said 'well it's up there'? I was super annoyed and she didn't seem to be inclined to fix it. Would have talked to manager but had kids with me and movie was starting. In my opinion, while making my order she should have confirmed if I wanted the combo considering I thought that's what I was ordering?
We love the Towne Theater. Great atmosphere, great popcorn. Still has the feel of a vintage cinema.
This little historic theatre is probably my favorite part of the city of Vernon so far!Affordable movies, decent selection, well-priced concessions, the best movie theatre popcorn I've ever had, and Jones soda on tap!Going to a movie here feels a bit like stepping into a museum of cinematic history, with pieces preserved from eras past!All it needs is more patrons---so they can turn the heat up in the winter! ;)(Seriously--consider bringing a blanket if you're seeing a flick in the winter)
A wonderful retro theatre right downtown conveniently located near tons of great restaurants. Friendly staff and atmosphere. The lobby has a real vintage/Art Deco look. Popcorn and drinks are reasonably priced. The movies change regularly so check the web site, FB page or their marquee. Every Monday its Monday Night At The Arts where the Okanagan Screen Arts shows a different film. This is complete with wine bar, music in the lobby prior to the first shops, and a brief, insightful pre-show introduction by a resident film maker.
