We were in a jam, with sewer coming up through our laundry drain in the basement. I called our neighbor, who works at Aslan, and she had Randy on site in less than half an hour. He worked like a Trojan, sweat running off him, and got the drain unplugged quickly. We had a second fellow arrive to take a look inside the pipes with the TV monitor. It wasn't cheap, but both men did a good job, cleaned up, and they were very polite and efficient. Thanks to Randy and our friend across the street.
On December 4th, 2017 I noticed a leak coming through the ceiling into my basement suite. I called the upstairs tenant to inquire what was above the spot which water was coming from. She stated that it was her dishwasher but that she hadn't run it in 2-3 days. Aslan was called regarding the leak that was coming through the ceiling into the downstairs basement suite. They arrived to the house and first went downstairs to inspect the leak, which took less then 10 minutes. They then went upstairs to inspect the dishwasher. After some time, they stated that they would need to install a bump clamp as one had never been initially installed. They left the house and returned the next day December 5th, 2017 at which time they installed this part and left stating that it was fixed. Later that day, the upstairs tenant ran a load of dishes in the dishwasher and water came pouring through the ceiling. I called upstairs immediately and she shut the dishwasher off. Aslan was called again, as the original issue had not been fixed. They arrived on site December 6th, 2017 and determined that the dishwasher could not be repaired. Had they done their due diligence the first appointment and determined the dishwasher was broken, their services would not have been required on the two other occasions. Also it is apparent that they did not test the dishwasher after completing the installation of the bump clamp as had they done so the leak would have been evident. In addition to this, there was never a conversation around how old the dishwasher was (8 years old) and whether it was even worth the repair originally; considering the repairs cost over $1000 and a new washer starts at $250. I have since gone through the Civil Rights Tribunal and the decision just came through in my favor.
No heat today and it was freezing in the house. Called Aslan and within an hour a technician was at the house and heat on. Phenomenal service! Janice at customer service was very helpful and it didn't go unnoticed! Ron the technician was very polite and walked me through what went wrong and why... very helpful. I would highly recommend this company and will be using them again.
Dealing with this company, their billing practices, their owner and now the courts has been one of the most miserable experiences I've had as a homeowner. Upcharges for materials they never used, overcharges for parts, expecting to be paid for mileage AND hourly rate while on the road within 10km of town?? Never again. I suggest avoiding this company at all costs, as I intend to.
Great service and Super friendly staff. Sherri at dispatch was super awesome. Nice to have a friendly voice when you're stressed from a basement flood. She had Randy at my house less then an hour. Randy was great, he was fast and super helpful. Fixed the problem the next day!! Highly recommend Aslan!!!!
