it was fun until the centers ended then it was just work but it was still ok
Harwood has some of the most amazing teachers. They work hard and some stay after class to help the students. Both my boys have ADHD and I always have received help when I ask.
We have been a part of this school for the past 11 years, have gone through ups and downs and the staff & administrators have been kind and compassionate, always there to give assistance when needed. We have had our struggles, not always seeing eye to eye with a teacher or two, but the reality is that these teachers are there for our kids. They don't have their momma bear suits on, they want to see kids thrive, but sometimes they have to give us parents truths that we don't want to hear. That is not to say that they are always right, but they are doing the best they can and at the end of the day, they are giving our kids the best education they possibly can. We are proud to be a Harwood Family and I would strongly encourage anyone who wants their children to have the best start to their school career to get their kids into this school. If the teachers want their own kids here, wouldn't you? Amazing commitment, care, passion & drive to make this school the best of the best! Great job to all staff & administration, past & present!
Our son started Kindergarten in the fall at Harwood and we have loved everything about the school!! His teacher, Ms. Fuhr is absolutely amazing!!! She is patient, kind, compassionate and considerate of each child's individual needs. Our son has a lot of anxiety and he is so comfortable at Harwood. They cultivate such a strong community of kindness and acceptance. We have witnessed such positive changes and growth in our son over this school year. Mr. Johnson is a wonderful principal and we are so sad to see him go. He has kind, open and very genuine. My husband and I honestly can't say enough good things about Harwood school. The teachers, administrators and parents are wonderful.
Nothing but great things to say about "our" school. We have had 4/4 kids go to Harwood, and we love all our teachers, administration, aboriginal support, student support, etc. Everyone has been wonderful to deal with on a daily basis and especially when any concerns have come up.We also have 3 kids with diagnosis' including adhd, receptive/expressive language delay, global developmental delays and autism.
