Having just returned to Vernon after 45 years, I don't know any the staff yet, but in a short time they have become my first-go-to hardware store. I always try to find small local businesses to support, and only go to the 'Big Box' stores if the small one doesn't carry what I'm looking for.The staff here are very knowledgeable about the products, tools, etc, and can provide helpful tips for your projects.I had to take a couple of items back, one because I apparently have difficulty measuring and wanted to exchange, and the other as a drill bit return because it didn't fit my drill's chuck.This is a business run with old time values of service and customer assistance.
Fishers is always great. If they don't have it they know where to find it. Very helpful. An old fashioned experience with old fashioned service.

A bit ashamed to say that I haven't been here yet.Varied selection of items and the staff were helpful.A bit like a museum with all the old things hanging from the ceiling.All the things you need can be found here plus a while lot more interesting items not found at the big box stores.
