I like sir Winston's cause it feels homey and is close to alot places I visit. Decent pricing and cold beer cant go wrong
Stopped in for beer and heard they had good fish 'n chips. And it was good, fries great and even coleslaw was better than most. Not a great selection of craft beer which we thoroughly enjoy.
Good bear and good food. An alright spot overall. Great for hanging with friends.
Went in for dinner and my friend ordered some appetizers for the table. He asked for four sliders, four fish tacos, and an order of poutine and told the waitress that we would be having dinner afterward and asked to keep a menu.Our waitress, beyond all reasonable comprehension, interpreted this as ordering four pairs of fish tacos and four trios of sliders and somehow thought we'd be chasing that with a dinner. Never seen anything like it, it's baffling that if she genuinely thought we wanted a dozen sliders that she didn't ask for clarification.As for the food itself, the fish tacos are actually quite good, the poutine was better than average and the sliders were a solid 2/10 served with a fancy side of BBQ chips.Service, beyond being incompetent, was very slow, it took about ten minutes to get the water we ordered when we entered and refills took longer. Just generally inattentive and clueless.The pub wasn't busy, and the atmosphere was pleasant enough for a pub.
This is the best place to eat in the whole damn city, everywhere else sucks. They show true love in the food they serve and have for years. Don't waste your money anywhere else in town!!!
